Updating Your Payment Method

December 19, 2016     0 comments

Typically, when you sign up for a service through our website you have the option of paying with PayPal or Stripe Checkout.  By selecting one of these two, your future recurring payments will be automatically processed, either by a PayPal subscription or through an automated service processed by our website through Stripe's API.

However, if you have been with us for a while and your account was setup with the Check or Money Order payment method then automated payment processing doesn't occur with your recurring services.

If you prefer to have your payments made automatically you have two choices:

PayPal (https://www.paypal.com)
PayPal subscriptions are dead easy.  All you need to do is select PayPal as your payment option and then make your first payment and PayPal will generate a subscription on their servers.  This subscription will be processed automatically at PayPal and then reported to us where we will process the data sent by PayPal and process your invoice and send receipts as appropriate. All payment processing is handled by PayPal's servers so your data is safe.

Stripe Checkout
Using Stripe Checkout does not require you to create an account on Stripe.  One will be created automatically for future processing.  Your credit card will be securely stored on Stripe's PCI Compliant servers and we will initiate the payment processing from our end on your payment due date. All payment processing is handled by Stripe's servers so your data is safe.

Stripe's "Remember Me" feature is a way to create a universal account on Stripe to store your email address, cell phone number and credit card information that you can use on other websites other than ours to process Stripe Checkout payments.  It's not necessary to use this feature but can save you time in the future if you do not want to automate your payments and also if you happen to notice that some other merchant uses Stripe Checkout.

How to Change Your Payment Method
If you would like to automate your payments with either of these methods, follow the instructions below.

Automate your payments using Stripe Checkout

  • Sign into your Brozra Client Center account
  • Click on "Billing" and then click on "Edit Payment Method"
  • Select "Stripe Checkout"
    • A couple different things may happen at this point:
      • If you have never used Stripe Checkout before to make any payments you will see a box asking you to enter your credit card information.  Once you save the information an associated Stripe account will be created under on Stripe's servers and all future invoice payments will be automatically processed on their due dates with the card information you provided.
      • If you have used Stripe Checkout before but did not use the "Remember Me" feature then you should see a box show up asking you to update your credit card information.  Your account on Stripe will be updated with the credit card information you provide and all future invoice payments will be automatically processed on their due dates with the card information you provided.
      • If you have used Stripe Checkout before and did use the "Remember Me" feature then you should see a box show up asking you to either:
        • Update your credit card information (if you are logged into Stripe)
        • Or enter a six-digit pin that was sent to the associated cell phone number you used to store your account (if you have been signed out of Stripe)
      • After you update your information, your account on Stripe will be updated with the credit card information you provide and all future invoice payments will be automatically processed on their due dates with the card information you provided.

Automate your payments using PayPal

  • Sign into your Brozra Client Center account
  • Click on "Billing" and then click on "Edit Payment Method"
  • Select "PayPal" and then click on "Update Payment Method"
  • The next time a payment comes due for a recurring payment sign into your Brozra Client Center account, select the invoice you want to pay and use PayPal as your payment method and a subscription will be created on PayPal's servers.  You do not need a PayPal account to create the subscription.  However, having a PayPal account will make it easier to manage your subscription(s).
  • All future payments will be processed by PayPal automatically and reported back to us when your payment has been successfully processed or if it failed.
